WHAT TO DO INCASE OF IN HOME FLOOD
WE WAIT FOR
Immediately shut off the water!
While this first step may seem somewhat obvious, many people in a time of panic, do not realize that you can stop the flooding from occurring by just turning off the water to the property. In fact, we run into people all of the time who don’t even know where their main water shutoff valve is. We highly recommend that you find out where this is located and actually test turning off the water and making sure that it works.
Testing to make sure that you know exactly how to turn off the water and then immediately proving that you can by turning on a faucet located within the property, will put you ahead of 90% of the people who don’t know what to do when a broken pipe occurs. In fact, by just doing this simple step you are able to save hundreds of hours of work that would need to occur in order to restore your property.
We understand that your main concern is getting your home back to normal and functional. When dealing with an insurance company, Its a process that has to be followed by their rules. We specialize in dealing with the process. We analize and document the entire disaster with paperwork, video and pictures. Its something that insurance companies ask for from beggining to end of the restoration. We will be there for you when that moment comes. Never wait till the last minute to review your policy and see what you are covered for. Dont be affraid to ask questions.
